February Cyber Quest Events

During the week of February 22nd 2022, the North American Cyber Range Alliance (NACRA) is offering a series of hands-on interactive cybersecurity workshops AT NO COST.  The intent is to expose those interested in cybersecurity careers and those with experience in the field to the professional challenges that nation state and criminal adversaries present to those protecting our nation.    

Everyone is eligible to participate, including those in high schools, higher education, business/public professional practitioners, invited guests and the the community.  These interactive workshops are made possible without cost through the generosity of  'Participating NACRA Organizations', and NACRA's  'Preferred Range Partners'.

EMCC - Learn and Train for CTF Workshops

EMCC is preparing competitiors ABL CyberQ Range - Week of Feb 14 EMCC trains beginner to intermediate level competitors on tools to be successful in NACRA ABL CyberQ Range Intermediate competition, the week of Feb 21. Advanced may attend for brush up training on tools such as nmap, burpsuite, metasploit, nikto, hydra and others...

Alphaville Capture the Flag [CTF]

Completely renovated since last year, the Alphaville CTF is a gamified cyber security experience in the Michigan Cyber Range Alphaville environment. All scoring maps back to the NIST framework through established KSAs.

Tuesday, 02/22  Workshop

Workshop: Career Path in CyberSecurity plus intro to Phishing and Social Engineering 

The workshop introduces the students to the Cyber Security courses, certifications, and career paths. They will also learn about current market salaries and the best steps to take in order to get an entry level jobs. There will also be a small entertaining quiz about Cyber Phishing and Social engineering topics.

 Thursday, 02/24  Workshop

GCC  Glendale Community College - Build your own hack lab! 

GCC will demonstrate how to create your very own Hack Lab with various devices that have prebuilt vulnerabilities.  You will be able to configure and modify the devices as if you were a network administrator.  You will be able to test your device to ensure the vulnerabilities have been fixed.  We will be using ISO's and OVA files to be used with VirtualBox or VMWare.
