NACRA Cyber Quest Spring 2023:

During the week of February 20th 2023, the North American Cyber Range Alliance (NACRA) is offering a series of hands-on interactive cybersecurity workshops AT NO COST. The intent is to expose those interested in cybersecurity careers and those with experience in the field to the professional challenges that nation state and criminal adversaries present to those protecting our nation.
Everyone is eligible to participate, including those in high schools, higher education, business/public professional practitioners, invited guests and the community. These interactive workshops are made possible without cost through the generosity of 'Participating NACRA Organizations', and NACRA's 'Preferred Range Partners'.
Participants are expected to abide by ethical and professional standards similar to those required of any professional workplace.

Boise State's 2nd Cybersecurity Career Day - virtual meetings
For students looking to gain guidance and direction as they start their career journeys in the field of Cybersecurity. Unlike other Career Fairs, this event is focused on enabling you to receive career mentoring, get your resume reviewed, and see industry talks on career pathways.
Who should attend: This event is for all majors interested in a career in Cybersecurity or Cyberoperations.

Workshop: Free online access to Cybersecurity courses and certifications from top IT companies plus career paths
For high school and college students
This workshop will provide students with information on how to enroll and get access to a free-of-charge Cybersecurity courses and certifications from top companies such as EC-Council and Cisco, plus career paths in the Cybersecurity field.

Cyber Attack and Defend Exercises Workshop
SKILL LEVEL – Beginner and Intermediate
Learn “work role” specific cyber tools and skills required to protect against unauthorized access, systems and data ransom and other malicious acts. You must learn to assess in order to apply security controls. You will Identify systems and services on the network using NMAP, Metasploit and other scanning and vulnerability assessment tools. Hands-on Exercises lead you step by step through the entire process of determining network and system weaknesses for running remote shells and accessing poorly protected sensitive information. From this Workshop, attendees will gain a greater appreciation for the need to keep applications up-to-date and systems securely configured and for overall cybersecurity awareness.
Who should attend: New aspiring job seekers and Intermediate cyber workforce. Workshop provides task level experience for those studying for or in current Cyber Work Roles: Systems Security Analyst, Cyber Defense Analyst, Cyber Operator, Vulnerability Assessor (workshop exercises are Mapped to NIST/NICE Cyber Skills Framework).

Advanced OT/IACS Range Competition
SKILL LEVEL – Intermediate to Advanced
Identify and stop attacks on IT systems and OT IACS assets:
IT OT Incident 1: Would you know if a device now on your IACS OT network was compromised when shipped from the hardware manufacturer or software development provider? IT OT Incident 2: It only takes one user clicking on a phishing e-mail to launch a devastating attack. Successful phishing attempts give an attacker access to your IT network resources, and possibly your OT network as well (2 hours per Incident, total 4 hours).
Who should attend: Anyone considering, or currently protecting IT/OT assets. Both will benefit by increased awareness in identifying vulnerabilities of both IT Systems and OT infrastructure (intermediate to advanced cyber skills).
